Inspiration is Contagious!
Man, oh man. The studio has been so busy. I just have not had time to keep up with this news blog. So sorry. I have hoards of mp3s to post. Cool things are happening. This past month brought in more sessions with The Excellent Gentlemen, Mighty Unicorn, Elbo Finn, Brad Brooks, Erik Merrill, Lex Browning, Southern Belle, and a new favorite of mine, The Daveys. You should hear their singer's voice - wow! I just got my own record back from the mastering engineer, Carl Saff, in Chicago - Friends of the Friendless III - and I'm thrilled. Capital-EMI Records is tracking the debut record for their new Portland band, Hockey, and they're rocking it up right now. Great guys, and whapping catchy tunes. The studio is booked nearly solid through mid-December, so call soon for dates in 2009. New additions include a '70s Fender Rhodes 73 suitcase model electric piano, a Moog Little Phatty, and two Beyerdynamic m160 ribbon mics that sound sweeeeeet! Come get your songs on! I still can't reveal my super secret news - maybe next week!
