Dirty and Clean

I just got back from Los Angeles for a much needed vacation with my significantly better (and unquestionably more amazing and prettier) better half, Jenny. We did absolutely nothing for 11 days but sit in the sun and walk on the beach. This past weekend a new band, Dr. Helicopter, rocked the place up. Stephanie Schneiderman also finished mixing her record. I completely love her voice and vibe, and David Friedlander's production is just sick in a good way. Check out Dangerous Fruit [mp3], 20 Slivers [mp3], and Dirty and Clean [mp3]. It was hard picking only three to post, because all of her songs make me feel like I'm falling in love, or lying in a hammock with angels gently blowing on my face. She is living proof of perfection. Tim Roth just tracked two more jazz standards. Take a listen to The Very Thought of You [mp3], and some Blues in G [mp3], both recorded on a 1959 Gibson 175. We finish mixing Paper Brain's record this week. I love that band. Check out Untitled [mp3] and Dead Leaves [mp3]. Finally, here are new ones from the Bay Area's Mannilown: Hey Fragile [mp3], and unfinished Fond Farewell [mp3]. I pulled out my trumpet and sang back up with Brad Brooks. Big '70s pop! New gear includes the entire line of TDM Audio Ease plug ins featuring Altiverb and Speakerphone, plus a new Orange Tiny Terror head and 1 x 12" vintage cabinet. That thing shreds, even in the 7 watt position.
