El Con
El Con writes gorgeous desert rock and reminds me of the sweet smell of Arizona after a rain storm at dusk. Their singer, Doug Smith, pretty much blew me away with his voice and lyrics, singing the songs straight through in one take. The band includes Chris and Liza Byrne, Adam King, and John Alexander, all multi-instrumentalists. Here are some unfinished mixes:
